An Award, a Game and Confessions

That was supposed to be a food post. I had everything prepared in my laptop waiting for correction and posting. But Tina Marie from Life in the Slow Lane at Squirrel Head Manor and Kiki from Mikri Kouzina (Small Kitchen in Greek) had other plans for me. Tina Marie gave me the “Life is a Good Award”. Starting with that, I have to answer ten questions about me. So, let’s do this first.

1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?
In my life I always stated my opinion openly and loudly. Sometimes that was rewarded sometimes it gave me a hard time. I am a morning person, whatever I have to say I say it up and front. I would never state an opinion or thought anonymously.

2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side.
I am stubborn in and out. I cannot recall one big incident, but I have thousands in everyday life.

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the face in the mirror?
A 41 year old woman who has plenty of things to share with family and friends.

4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?
Cold water throughout the season. It is the only thing that takes my thirst away.

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
Listen to music and read. These moments are so rare and precious I try to enjoy them as much as possible.

6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?
Grow my son to be a good happy person in his life and make a business of my own.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the class shy person, or always ditching school? Describe who you were if not one of these.
Let me put it this way; I was one of the millions of children who go to school everyday, try to do the job as good as possible and return back home. Now that I have gone almost all the way (except PhD), I can confess that I was smart but lazy.

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what do you see?
The first time my son had a febrile seizure. I thought that he was having something really serious but thank god we were at the pediatrician’s office and she told us that his temperature was rising, that’s why he had the seizure. I will never forget that moment in my entire life.

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?
If there is something about me that would help other people, I am willing to share it gladly. Nevertheless, I am not forgetting that the scope of this blog is to write about food.

10. If you had the choice to sit and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
Depends on the moment. There are times that I would like to be isolated and read, so as to relax and enter into my book’s world. There are other times that I long for a little chit chat and I want to call a friend and gossip a little bit.

Now going to the next challenge, Kiki asked me to list 10 things I love and here they are:

1. I love my family dearly
2. I love listening to music
3. I love reading
4. I love cooking
5. I love Spring
6. I love shoes
7. I love vacations
8. I love talking with people
9. I love going out with friends
10. I love dancing (not professionally)

Normally I should pass these to at least 6 people so as to do the same. But I decided to leave it up to you. If anyone of you has the time to play one or both games, I will be more than happy to pass them to you. It is a good way to learn a few things about each others apart from food.
So, if anyone is interested please let me know, I will be more than happy to pass the award and/or game to anyone who wants.
Regarding blogging about food, I will have a post ready on Friday, so stay tuned.
