Grilled Maple-Mustard Chicken Drumsticks

First of all, I would like to thank all of you my blog friends for your warm wishes on my birthday! I wish you and your families are happy and healthy!
This was the second meat I made for my family during those snowy days at the fireplace. And although now the weather here is warmer between 15° and 20° C, which is 59° to 68° in Fahrenheit, these drumsticks are ideal to make on the BBQ outside now! I saw this recipe on Chow and since I had a bottle of maple syrup in my pantry, and believe me here maple syrup costs a small fortune as it comes all the way from the States, I thought I should give these a try. I made just couple of changes one being the omission of cayenne pepper, but as you know I have a sensitive stomach and thus I left that out. But you my friends can add as much as you can endure, no problem on that. Also, you will notice that these are a little ovedone, but I do love the skin so crunchy and a little burned. It is up to you to BBQ then as much as you want!

This recipe apart from being delicious, was so easy it made me very happy. Apart from the brining time the rest is made in no time. Easy, tasty and delicious what more can a housewife ask? I guess nothing else!

Grilled Maple-Mustard Chicken Drumsticks

Instructions
1.400 gr. / 3 lb chicken drumsticks
1/3 cup + 2 tbsp maple syrup
¼ cup Dijon mustard
1 tbsp whole grain mustard
1 tbsp cider vinegar
2 tsp soy sauce
5 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
Mix everything in a bowl and cook in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Whisk and let cool. Put the drumsticks in a pan and throw the marinade.
Place a cling film and refrigerate from 2 hours to 12.
Place the drumsticks under the broiler or on BBQ.
Bake until all the juices from the chicken come out clean.
I accompanied them with basmati rice with Greek saffron threads.

My friend and co-blogger Marion from Cooking and Art a beautiful Greek blog gave me this liquor and Easter cookies for my birthday! Aren’t they cute or what! Thank you so much Marion and loved the time we spent together!

I would like to thank also Marelie from Cookie Droplets etc... for the beautiful Stylish Blogger Award she has given me. She is from Philippines and makes beautiful local dishes. Thank you Marelie!
